Light Fandango

Working with my macro lens again, I was able to isolate a few of these Ginkgo leaves bathed in golden light just before sundown. I became quite involved with the shapes, texture, negative space and shadows, which provided a lot of possibilities.

I liked the straight on view of this shot, keeping most of the ridges on the foreground leaves in focus. I was also interested by the cast shadows of stems falling on the out of focus leaves in the background.
