Bug porn

Well, I've heard of the "reproductive imperative" - but these 6 Spot Burnet moths certainly showed a lack of forethought in their choice of venue, and were having to hang on for dear life.  It was quite windy, and this flimsy bit of grass was thrashing around.

They were one of at least 3 pairs "at it" (as my parents would have said) in the meadow this evening.
