Birthday surprise
Not my birthday but my good friend Susan.
Mr PHL, Miss PHL and I enjoyed a breakfast naan at Dishoom on the house - special offer to celebrate the 10th birthday of the company which specialises in Indian street food and the naans were free. They come with chilli jam and cream cheese and we’re delicious. Miss PHL asked for hers plain but it arrived with ham already on her sausages. No problem said our waitress and another one appeared - we kept the original so suffice to say we were pretty full!
Off to the blue and yellow warehouse to pick up the chair for the new bedroom - a bit of a queue to get in but total time in and out was less than than an hour. Managed to spend an additional £100 over the cost of the chair as a few other bits (new lamp, sheets, storage bags and plants!) also made their way into the trolley.
Home for a quick change before being dropped at my friend Sudan’s house as a surprise for her birthday. Luckily she was pleased to see me and we spent a lovely few hours together plus another friend of hers who was staying over putting the world to rights over Prosecco and a takeaway. The cake was made and decorated by Sudan’s other friends son - she luurves Percy pigs!
The extra is of one of the posters in my friends toilet (and yes she loves pink)!
Miss PHL kindly picked me up and by the time I got home and admired the new room (still some more moving of things to be done before the weekend), before I knew it, it was after midnight so I’ve waited to backblip this on Friday morning.
