Containers

An inventive way to deal with the problem of selling your wares when a 6.2 magnitude earthquake has made your shop inhabitable, using shipping containers. This beautiful city of Christchurch in New Zealand was changed forever when at 12.51pm on 22 February 2011 the earthquake hit the city. 185 people lost their lives and a quarter of all the buildings on the four main avenues in central Christchurch need to be demolished. It will cost some NZ$30 billion and forward thinking to make the centre of the city fully habitable again. It is underway and there is a decade of building going on. From the plans on show and speaking to those who live in the city it's going to be something to be proud of. Good luck to them.
