Fish ' chips - the best meal in town

Tonight we went to an early movie and then wondered what to do about dinner. An easy answer - fish 'n chips. New Zealand has a fish 'n chip takeaway/takeout shop in every small block of suburban shops. And when you get a good one you keep going back.

The fish is fresh schnapper and there is a paua (also known as abalone) fritter along with the lovely fat chips/fries. The batter is crisp and crunchy - everything is deep fried and just the best.

A treat on a rare occasion that I miss when I am in the USA.
