Pig Heaven

There's nothing like a cool hose of water on a sweltering hot summer's day in Tauranga, New Zealand.

Today is Waitangi Day. Waitangi Day (wye-TANG-ee) commemorates a significant day in the history of New Zealand. It is a public holiday held each year on 6 February to celebrate the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi, New Zealand's founding document, on that date in 1840.

We visited my daughter on her property in the country to celebrate hers and her daughter Sophie's birthdays which are on either side of Waitangi Day. And wandering around the property we came across this very hot pig.

How he loved our hose.
