Floating Away

Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

B and I were outside St Giles Cathedral this morning and we were looking at this unusual piece of street art - a bronze horse with a hanging rag decorates with snakes, lizards and ropes.

We were wondering what the inspiration was for the art when a man arrived and opened the hanging rag, revealing a small seat which he sat on, wrapped the rag around him as a cloak, put on a hat and transformed into a levitating wizard.

Except the seat was obviously very uncomfortable because he kept having to adjust his position when he thought no one was looking which was hilarious. We pondered whether the issue was that he was wearing a g-string, if dogs ever peed against the horse and if he had always dreamed of being floaty Gandalf.

Despite getting bad news, B was on the best form he had been since he arrived tonight. Small glimpses of someone from the past.
