Shock

Tuesday has been a Monday.

It all started at 01:45 when my intruder alarm went off. It was not set, so a mini power cut must have triggered it. It is only a few feet from my bed - outside obviously, but the window is open in July. It is loud. It was a nasty shock. It took me quite a while to get back to sleep.

As a result I felt weird when I got up, and even the strong black coffee did not work its magic. At lunchtime I realised I had not taken the hypertension medication I should take when I get up. That shows how disorientated I was, and of course the rising blood pressure during the morning made me feel strange too.

Work was a bit of a struggle, and I was frequently distracted by news of the release of the famous Russia Report into friend Vladimir’s alleged attempts to influence elections in the UK, and the Brexit referendum in particular. Hats off to the MPs who chose to release it after Johnson refused to for 8 months.

I would be nice to see a USA Report too, so we have an insight into what Trump has been doing to us.

After work I went to the ATM for the first time since March, and to the barber for the first time since February. I know it is a dreadful cliché, but I hardly recognise myself in the mirror now. No, I did not get a selfie. Not at my age.

The Blip is just a quick shot taken at my desk, while wishing I were somewhere else.
