In a nearby town, there is a large group of buildings that used to be the State Mental Institution. That was closed down years ago, and now a group has taken on the task of revitalizing the area. At first I couldn't imagine that it would work, but they are very interesting structures, and they now hold shops, restaurants, office space and even condos. I don't think I'd want a condo there... but many do. It is nice to have the area cleaned up and reused (in some cases very cleverly) instead of abandoned buildings. The red cupolas adorn several of the buildings. They were one of the first things brought back to life. The red dots in the sky make for a pleasant view as you drive down the hill into town.
