Building site

Exciting!  Work has finally started on the Coach House after an agonizing wait of more than a year.  The final permission came through at 5 pm Friday night, just in time for preparatory work to start yesterday.

The verandah roof came off this morning, and it's clear that it would have had to be replaced sometime quite soon, no matter what.  It's in terrible condition.

That palm that's i the pot has been on site in one place or another for very many years - probably about 50 years.  It was on its last legs when we took over; but now it's thriving again after a bit of TLC.
