This bakery and coffee shop on a local high street is one example of the businesses that have suffered during the lockdown. Really sad. The staff were cheery and positive, and hopeful of the business continuing under new ownership.

We phoned and messaged friends to see if they were free to come for tea in the garden. They received my message at their son’s home where they were helping to lay turfs but were really happy to come round a little later than we had suggested. A good catch up couple of hours. We hadn’t seen them for real for several weeks.

Joff and Andréa shared Esmée’s nursery report and its interesting reading. Determined, adventurous and confident were some of the words used to describe her. Characteristics that will take her a long way!
