Monday: Sedge Seeds
Sunny and dry all day, not too hot either - just right to dry the washing!
Was looking down on the garden from an upstrairs window and eye caught by a flash of black, white and red ... there was a Bullfinch, Blip friend NatureWatcher took this brilliant photo of one https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2667793188042836846
It's unusal to see a Bullfinch in my garden at this time of the year so went down to have a closer look ... they seem to like seeds of one of the sedges, great news I have an assortment of sedges around the garden!!
MrD spotted the Bullfinch at lunchtime, so it wasn't scared off by the earlier encounter :-))
Moved plants around in the garden, emptying all the water from some of the large trays, getting stagnant, urgh ...
Repotted bronze fennel and moved scabious and kales into the greenhouse to dry off before I repot them.
Lots of family history ... more DNA cousins in Australia, New Zealand and Canada ... and best of all one in Shetland, may even send them a message!!
Stay safe & healthy and happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
