One man and his dog on an island

Martin and I took a wee drive down to Ayrshire today. Irvine beach is the nearest one to us so we headed there. It was very windy!! But warm when the sun came out. We wandered along the beach and I collected some shells. It was so good to be out in the really fresh sea air. Not many people either, which was a good thing.
Our next stop was Troon, where we had lunch at a wee coffee shop called Drift. Just as we were finishing up, in true Scottish summer style, it started to rain. 
We took a small detour on the way home to visit the building site/ estate where Katie is buying her first house. Cheekily we snapped some photos of what people had done to their back gardens since moving in. Another garden for me me to do!
