Hay bales
Thursday
It was back to our regular Little Miami trail today, starting at Mathers Mill and heading north to Corwin, where we stopped for a sandwich at the Corwin Peddler, before heading back. We passed this field of recently baled hay, which I thought would make a nice blip.
In the evening we actually got to play handbells at church, for the first time since March. We wouldn’t normally be meeting during the summer, and we’re still not having in person services yet, but this is just for the enjoyment of playing and being together. It’s a small group - just 7 of us, and we all wore masks, we wear gloves anyway, and we were physically spaced. The music is different too, written for small ensembles. It just felt so good to be together again and making music together - I’ve missed choir and bells so much. Debbie, who leads us, loves to bake, and nearly always has some cookies or cake for us at practice, and today was no exception - she had little paper tubs with several little squares of brownies for everyone to take home!
