And then there were six

Another wet morning so I made some Damson chutney with some frozen fruit that was hanging around. It took a long time, as I cooked it in the Aga oven to keep the fumes down!
Finally the sun came out around 3, and all the bees were racing in and out trying to make up for lost time. Unfortunately, the Lime tree blossom is ruined with all that rain at just the wrong time so I am not expecting a good honey harvest now. This is a pity, as I now have six hives full of bees, and if they can’t make honey they will all have to be fed sugar over the winter, which is expensive. We will see.
The border is still looking good, see extra, and the dahlias are starting to open.
