Pineapple Sage

For more than twenty years the pineapple sage died down in winter. This is the third winter in a row that it has continued to flower.

The weather lately has been dank, with frosty mornings followed by low clouds. The high today was 6ºC. I was feeling hard done by until I learned that in the Far North of the country people had a one in 500 year flood to contend with. Their temperature was higher than ours, but they had deep water flowing through their homes.
