On Saturday I popped over to a hamlet called The Shoe (its former pub was inevitably called The Shoe Inn) just off the Fosse Way, a few miles out of Bath, to take a first look at a property up for auction that is in need of total renovation.

This is a re-invention of a song from Loveless by the Canadian performer Rachel Zeffira, who is a member of the duo Cat's Eyes.
