Two days out in one

This morning we drove to Battle Abbey and toured the battlefield of 1066 and the Norman conquest.

L loved the wooden sculpture trail around the fields. Here is Duke William of Normandy surveying the scene.

After a sandwich we drove another 20 minutes to have an ice cream and play on the beach in Bexhill-on Sea.
