Arthur and his uncle Nat got to kick a socially distanced ball around on the beach  today.  

Nat and his partner Katie travelled by train from London  to stay with Katie’s Mum in Morecambe , the rules allow them to form a bubble . We were able to have a picnic together and play the usual beach game of throwing stones at a target. Arthur had his induction into this family ritual , Grandpa Dave still holds on to his record but Katie’s mum gave him a run for his money !
I was a keen sprinter when young but never got the hang of how to throw overarm with power, but now I have headspace to try new things I shall be practicing. Today I was content to be a spectator. 

I can’t describe how happy it made me to see Nat in the flesh and just hang out together . We have planned another meet up before they head off for a holiday in the sun with their friends.
