Missed it!

I glanced down at the odometer in Ali's car only to realise that I had just missed it reading 111111
One of those moments where you (or at least I) realise that the next major numerical event will be 123456, so only 12345 miles to wait for that to roll around, or indeed the true follow on which would be 222222 which will be in another 111111 miles time
I wonder what the chances of the car reaching either or both of the distant mileages are? There are times when one realises that having a brain which enjoys playing with numbers can be more bother than it is worth. I was troubled at having missed seeing 111111 for a good hour.
Perhaps I should take comfort in the fact that sooner than both of those will of course be 112233 which will take place, fairly soon in just 1122 miles, not long to wait for that.
