Bedtime reading
A busy work day, combined with a rainy, stormy day has meant I haven't left the house at all today. Mark has just gone to the gym and I'm so annoyed that I couldn't find the energy to go with him, but I really couldn't! I had a wander around the house just now, looking for something to blip, and decided on the reading pile on my bedside table - today I booked our San Diego hotel, and even the Gatwick hotel for our London layover before we head back to Cyprus, so now all hotels are booked for our trip, I'm so pleased!
I started reading The Handmaid's Tale last night, and am immediately gripped by it. It was actually on the suggested reading list for my Sociology A'level, which I started in 1994, so it's only taken me just over 18 years to get around to it. I never was any good at getting my homework in on time, but I did get an A in my Sociology A'level, so all is not lost, and I even received the Sociology award at the leavers assembly, mainly because my teacher's never thought I'd do so well, but I can't blame them, neither did I!
