Ready for the Girls

My working day has been unbelievably busy, so much so I did an extra 2.5 hours and only finished at 7.30pm!  Nik spoke to me this morning and as I thought, he wants me to go back to work at the clinic now.  I've voiced my concerns and asked for a visor to wear, but he said he's planning on closing the reception area off so that no patients can come in, although I'd still have to take payments, and take patient's temperature when they arrive at the clinic.  But I've got to go back at some point, so I've left it that he will talk to Bex our office manager.  Bex, as I've said before is very good and she said they'll do a risk assessment and will discuss their proposals with me before I go back.

After finishing work, I made a quick dinner of beans on toast which was really lovely!   And then I set to on getting our two guest bedrooms ready as Rach has asked if she can come down with the girls for a few days, and they arrive on Thursday.  I'm working tomorrow morning and finally have my hair appointment tomorrow afternoon, and I need to somehow fit in a food shop, so I wanted to at least get the rooms ready tonight.  The bed in the girls bedroom is a day bed that extends to a king size so they share, and it's quickly transformed with unicorn duvet covers making it look very girly :-)

My friend Anne messaged me this afternoon to say she’s lost her job, it came totally out of the blue but both her and her boss are to go as the company say they have too many staff, and Covid was a factor too. I feel very sorry for her as it’s not going to be easy to find another job at this time, and unfortunately I think we’ll be seeing more of this :-(

Anyway it's now midnight and I'm off to bed!
