Polyanthus

This morning we visited Addenbrookes for Mr A's appointment and also met our daughter and granddaughter who had an appointment in a different part of the hospital.

As we were going to Addenbrookes a red Peugeot 106 was travelling in front of us, followed by a white Peugeot 106 and then my blue Peugeot 106; we travelled in convey to Addenbrookes car park. Mr A said, "perhaps this is the British job, using red, white and blue Peugeots rather than the Italian job using red, white and blue Minis"!

After that we went to Scotsdales for coffee and cake and then shortly after, me and Mr A had lunch. I was very good and did not have any cake although I did buy some chocolate, which I have hidden and will eat on Sunday, if I have lost any weight this week.

We bought four little shrubs for our larger curved border and some bright polyanthus plants, some of which are my blip today. I know some people do not like these bright flowers, preferring 'proper' pale yellow primroses, but these brighten up two of our front borders and match similar ones in our front Rose border and window boxes.

We had a brief snow shower last night and this morning there has been some sleet and rain; it is also very windy and cold.
