Opening Up

Lockdown is very slowly being lifted and this morning seemed like a bit of my life had returned to normal when I got a text at 10am from a friend who said she and her husband were sitting outside in the sun at Söderberg on Middle Meadow Walk if I cared to join them. I couldn’t get there fast enough to enjoy a companionable natter and a people watch.......and the warmth an added bonus.

Finding this sort of normality was especially good as I had just come back from a fruitless hunt for Vanilla Essence* at M&S in Princes Street and found so many of the larger stores still shut after 9am and little activity.

Walking home from Princes Street I found my extra blip of window washing of the extension to the Usher Hall. That’ll cost!

* M&S had vanilla essence at £7 a bottle- not the price I had in mind at all.
