Vik’s black bread

The defining event of today was Vikram joining the lockdown obsession and making bread for the first time.  His inspiration was Diana Henry’s black bread which is a soft rye bread with all sorts of dark things in it such as coffee, cocoa and muscavado sugar.  It was hugely successful, and absolutely delicious.  Other than that we hung out in the garden, went on a short walk into Hambledon, did Mum and Dad’s online shopping over tea and cake.  Supper in the garden in beautiful fading light.  Oh and the church bells were rung again for the first time this morning.
