High Pike 2157ft

We did a circular walk from Calebrack up onto the ridge, then on to High Pike and back via Driggeth Mine ( disused ). Just over 3 hours.

Cloudy, with quite a stiff cool breeze. You can see the Pennines in the far distance.

No sign of Sir Chris Bonnington today...( he lives nearby ).

On the way home we stopped at Caldbeck for a cuppa and an apricot slice!

The weather picked up by then, giving a splendid view of Skiddaw (see extra ).

A grand day out!
