A good gulder

We had a quieter day, but still quite busy with gardening, housework, pool cleaning, watering etc. We had a nice swim in the afternoon followed by prawns and mayo accompanied by a nice chilled rosé.  There is a gite a couple of houses away that has had a noisy group of lads staying there. I'm all for live and let live, but they play their music very loud and grunt like chimpanzees.  They were doing both these things as we sat with our aperos.  So I took a long breath and let out a very loud gulder/bellow.  It was so satisfying to yell a long yell so loudly, I am a quiet man until roused.  Guess what? Instant silence followed, which has lasted all evening!  Apolgies to Janice who was walking Dafty around the garden at the time.  Hope I didn't scare youse!
