We’ve never made it to Alaska
Today I did a job that needed doing - sorting the shelves where we store all the travel books we have accumulated over many years. The collection reflects our travel quite well - places we have been to on a regular basis, places we have only been to once or twice and some places we were planning to go to, but never actually got there. Some get replaced with more up to date editions if we return to a place, some are kept for sentimental reasons.(There is another collection elsewhere which has the more local and much-used books - Cumbria, Northumberland, South West Scotland and of course Kent and London.)
It has been interesting reflecting on travel during this time of no travel. I have been catching up with sorting photos, adding to albums and creating books. Sometimes in the last few years we have not had that kind of time between trips. So I don't think we have been unduly concerned about not being able to travel and we don't plan to go far in the near future either.
