White
So...the Daily Express (the World's Best Worst Newspaper] was of course half right. I awoke, somewhat groggily, to world gone inky white at the edges. Yes, it had snowed - but was it "snow hell"? The jury's still out on that one. And I can't honestly say I noticed any particular "travel chaos" either.
Later, as I was winding my way (somewhat groggily) down to the train station, the heavens coughed and sputtered and suddenly fingernail-fat flakes were spiralling down! I wasn't just crunching through the white and slushy stuff as per usual, it was actually landing on me !
It didn't last long of course. A few hours later and all those freshly lain flakes had turned into icy rain and nudging-nine-on-the-wind-chill-o-meter gusts....spring seems a ways off yet....
One or two my blipmates might remember this...
