Coyote in the Suburbs

I had to go to Fountain Valley, one of the many suburbs in Orange County, California.  So I took advantage of the trip to visit Mile Square Park to do some birding.  

There is a nature area in the park where there are a lot of native plants.  I heard a man yelling at his dogs to come on, let's go.  That is when I noticed that they were being followed by this female coyote.

Later I spoke to the park ranger he notified of the coyote.  She informed that there are seven of them living in the nature area.  

I did see a nice variety of birds.  It was an enjoyable outing while socially distancing.
