We plough the fields and scatter ...

The good seed on the land....
A dry day after last night’s rain so once I’d been round the cattle, hitched up the fertiliser spreader and spent the morning sowing the fodder rape/ turnip seed on the ground we worked yesterday. Littlemiss kindly modelled a handful of seed to show how small it is. Mixed it in with the fertiliser then broadcast it on. After lunch we rolled the field to compact the soil and help bury the seed.
Timed it just right for once because it came on rain at tea time !
Went down the road tonight to feed the cattle then a quick family dog walk before it got dark tonight.
