Day 191/20. Spartan Arrow Model

Built initially at Weston, Southampton, and later at East Cowes, Isle of Wight, the Spartan Arrow was a two-seat biplane with a spruce and plywood fuselage. The prototype G-AAWY first flew in May 1930. Only 13 Spartan Arrows were ever built and production of the Arrow ended in 1933.
This model is pretty big, about 2 metres nose to tail.
I took this picture today at Solent Sky Aircraft Museum, Southampton, (I had to climb under a huge flying boat to get the shot) where I volunteer. The museum has now re-opened after lockdown. A steady stream of visitors came through the doors. It's good to be back.
