A different view...

...of a chive. I was out in the heat this morning (94 F - 34.4 C) to pick up the piles of weeds I'd pulled & left on the grass yesterday eve., when I noticed a few of the chives hanging upside down.  I liked the sort of fluid feel to all the tiny stems attached to the individual petals that hold the seeds inside. I took the picture and went back inside. It's been beastly for the past week, with another week or two of the same expected. We've been setting records for the highest temps ever recorded on these days in our area, and if it weren't for the A/C I'd have to be living in the basement where it's a little cooler.
