Olive branch

Today's the day ……………………… to bear fruit

This is a branch of our little olive tree, which stands maybe five foot tall and is absolutely laden with flower buds this year - which potentially could all turn into actual olives.

They won't I'm sure because, despite the good weather that we have had so far this year, we do live in the reasonably far north of the British Isles which is not renowned for its olive harvest.  But it's nice to imagine.

And who knows?  It has been such a peculiar time - with most norms turned completely upside down.  This could be the year that we produce our very own olive oil …………………….
