Join the queue

The Hairy Bear was popular this morning when it opened to customers for the first time in months. So this is my contribution to Silly Saturday hosted this week by davidc. Thank you. I don't know why it might be considered silly; perhaps the name or perhaps the queue of people waiting outside.

It was a waste of a day's cloudiness as its been overcast all day, with heavy thick cloud with the merest of drizzle sometimes descending from it. Either it wants to rain in these conditions or clear away. It's no good to man nor beast nor allotment gardener. And don't get me talking about the gusty wind. It's more like October than July and it's playing havoc with my brassica cage, bending it this way and that and blowing the fleece cover all over the place. I hear that it's not about to abate soon either.

It's been a challenging year so far, heat, drought, wind, rapidly fluctuating temperatures and late frost. Despite all that the marestails are flourishing.
