Frilly Poppy

A really good sing with Rock Choir this morning. Glorious weather, bright and sunny with just the right strength of cooling breeze. Our walk into town took us past these poppies, I’ve never seen a frilly poppy before. Blip sorted.

We’ve friends coming tomorrow for the weekend so it was all hands to the pump this afternoon, cleaning, tidying and cooking ahead of their arrival.

This evening we went out to Bella Italia with Matt and granddaughter. A very pleasant evening and a birthday present from last week: a bottle of Glenkeith Single Malt. Not one I’ve had before and a very nice Speyside it is too.

On the way along the M2 andA2 we passed one of the longest jams on the other carriageway that I’ve ever seen. Way back from J1 on M2 to west of the M25.
