Greenfinch

From a cautious one yesterday to a small flock today - the greenfinch grapevine is alive and well!  So much for my DIY catcher to stop seeds dropping all over the garden - I swear they were intentionally throwing the seeds over the edge!

It's been a particularly cold day today, so cold I've barely left the house.  Thank goodness for ugg boots and woolly jumpers.

In COVID news, we had no new cases today and with no further recoveries our active case total remains at 18, all in managed isolation.  It's hard to imagine what life must be like in other places around the globe - my heart goes out in particular to those in the USA as their numbers continue to explode.  Things will improve - history tells us that nothing lasts forever - but the immense loss of life in the meantime is a disaster of unbelievable magnitude.
