Mr Grumpy

If not the coldest night of the year so far then certainly one of the coldest nights.  Just the thing to encourage me into a serious round of active housework........nothing like a full-on tidy, dust, sort, clean and vacuum to get the heart rate and internal temperature up. I even managed a little DIY modification to the bird feeder I bought last year to stop the seed falling into the garden.  The green finches took to it almost immediately, which may be why Mrs Silvereye looks so grumpy.  Green finches are such bullies around the feeding station.

Fire lit and all snuggled up for what promises to be another cold one tonight.  It's only July 2nd and already I'm missing my lovely evening red wine.......dry July is the challenge.....31 days of no alcohol. Hmmm....only 29 to go!

In COVID news we had two more new cases, both in managed quarantine facilities.  We also had six recoveries so the active case number has dropped to 18.
