Serengeti

Quite a day.

It started early, with breakfast at the "hotel" close to Lake Manyara. Then into the 4x4s and up the Rift Valley escarpment to the Ngorongoro crater. We just had a wee look down into the crater from the rim, then on into the Serengeti park.

By 5 ish we'd reached our lodge for the night. So, all day traveling apart from a few brief breaks.

The lodge is built on a rock in the middle of the Serengeti plain. The rock is inhabited by these colourful agati lizards. So one of them is the Blip, in preference to the lions, elephant, giraffe, zebra & wildebeest.

Weird I know, but there you go.
