Stolperstein

Final day of a fantastic week in Berlin today. We were out the hotel by 10 am and on our way to the airport. We got there in plenty of time for our ten past one flight, only to find it was delayed by over two hours. Still, there was nothing we could do about it so no point in getting stressed.

All the passengers got a voucher for four and a half euros for refreshments in the airport. That was quite good, but it seemed odd that while they can afford to do that they couldn't afford to compensate their cabin crew who, due to the delay, were missing out on their last flight of the day. Since the bulk of their wages are worked out on a per flight basis it meant they would all be losing money through something which was entirely out-with their control. On top of that a few of the passengers seemed to be fairly angry at the cabin crew (again, not their fault so I don't see why they should have have to put up with customers being rude).

Finally made it home at half seven UK time which would have been half eight German time so ten and a half hours door to door.

Anyway, as I only had about ten minutes this morning to grab a blip I thought I'd do the Stolperstein next to the hotel. Even if I wasn't in my currently exhausted state I doubt I could explain them as well as Wikipedia can.
