Bedraggled Two-tailed Pasha

The caterpillars of this butterfly apparently only feed on strrawberry trees so this butterfly must have come from a distance. The bottom part and two tails of one its wings was missing and it wasn't looking very perky. I suspect Saffron may have had something to do with its bedraggled state.
Went to a great beach slightly further away today.. It was lovely, quiet, and almost empty! I had a really long swim followed by a snorkeling session. There were loads of fish.
I had a zoom family confab with my brother and sister to try and decide how best to help Mum. We had a good long chat but didn't really make any decisions as at the moment she's refusing all forms of assistance and refusing to wear the personal alarm she's just managed to obtain after months waiting for it. At least my sister managed to drive up to visit her last weekend... the first visitor she's had apart from the occasion nurse since I was there in early March. Such a shame there's nobody in the family living anywhere near her.
