Newly emerged cicada with exuviae

It was fascinating watching this pale green newly emerged cicada. We found it in the morning on this wall right next to its exuviae and it stayed almost motionless on the wall for virtually whole day, gradually turning dark in colour as it dried out . By the evening it was dark brown , and the exuviae had dropped off the wall. Overnight the cicada must have flown away..
