Rosy

A day off work and what freedom to get away from the desk and endless emails and demands.  I started the day with a dog walk and practiced some recall training with Merlin.  He has got very easily distracted by anything he thinks he can eat - including wood, plastic bags, and the outer felt of old tennis balls.  We will try to build things up so he can come back even when faced with food elsewhere.

When we returned I made gooseberry jam from the fruit I picked at the weekend.  I now have eight jars of glowing orange/pink jam -  exciting!   The afternoon was spent at the allotment picking blackcurrants, weeding and digging up last year's leeks and Swiss chard which are long past being edible!  I hope your day has gone well.  I am going to end this for as I type the keyboard on our Mac has developed some quirks, especially the space bar which adds in tens of spaces without  pressed! Hum.
