Watching the Waves
Lockdown Day 98
We were up early today, and after breakfast we took the boys out for a walk, and then we went out ourselves to Barcombe Mills.
It’s the first time we’ve been there and were very nicely surprised. There’s a lovely river walk that’s very popular with people with kayaks and paddle boards, and along the river there’s a lovely pub that also rents out boats. Obviously the pub was closed today, but there’s a lot of outside seating and an outside bar, so after pubs are allowed to reopen next week, it should do very well.
On our way home we stopped off at Sainsbury’s to get some bananas, but as it was the end of the day, it was very quiet so I decided to do a bit more of a shop which took no time at all.
Once home, shopping put away and dinner on, I went down to the beach for high tide, as it was so windy, I knew there’d be some impressive waves! I met Karen and we spent a good half hour capturing the waves, but the highlight was when this little boy turned up. First of all he was riding his bike, dodging the waves, and then he was running alongside them, getting completely soaked.
