What type are they? Cumulus congestus? I'm not in any way qualified.

However, let's hope they will bring an end to the rather sticky humid weather of today and yesterday. As the writer of Weather Eye in today's Times, Paul Simons, said there's an old saying that an English summer is three fine days and a thunderstorm. It looks like this week will be true to that saying.

In other news, I had another go at taking the thistle again this afternoon, I liked the barbed wire and spiky thistle combination but thought it could do with a bit more barbed wire in the photo. See what you think in the extra compared to yesterday's effort.
