butterfly on bloom

After spending too much time trying to identify the flowering bush, and failing, and then trying to find the correct name for the butterfly, and failing, I am just to going accept the fact that this photo is a memento of a lovely hike today.
My friend and I hiked up to a local reservoir with Laney, who throughly enjoyed a swim, while we enjoyed "forest bathing."
