A final flourish

I thought my pulsatilla plants were well past the flowering stage but one of the plants, which is planted in a rather shady spot, has three lovely deep purple flowers.

Too hot to do any gardening today ..... glad my boys came to cut the grass and tickle the earth. Some rain during the night would be most welcome.
