The rain arrived

As we left home to go for dinner rain looked imminent.  As we arrived at the Burmese restaurant it was very windy.  As we were ordering we felt the first drops, by the time we were served the rain was hammering down.  It was deafening.  We tried to talk to a fellow diner but it was impossible.   This restaurant has a resident cat, she didn't like the wind and kept running around, even jumping on top of the large fridge.  Once the rain arrived she decided that a lap would offer the most security and ended up curled on my lap.  She was originally on the lap of the manager, but when he moved she came to me, it was ok as we had finished eating and were just enjoying finishing our drinks.  I felt quite bad about moving her to leave, however, the torrential rain was easing by then.  We took a pre-booked tuktuk home and noticed that the roads were showing signs of flooding.  Ah well this is the Rainy Season, so expect more rainy day stories and shots.
