Elephants rock

Met this chap on our way home last night.  He was almost the size of a baby elephant.   The signs are so powerful.  It's hard to imagine how anyone could remove tusks from these beautiful animals. 

We ate Chinese food last night.  Pork in black bean sauce, consisting of pieces of pork ribs.  We also had fried lettuce.  The deep fried prawn starter arrived last.  We then ordered a desert of mangosteen with durian ice cream.  We asked for the bill....we waited. ....we wondered what had happened. ..the staff smiled sweetly...then a secon desert arrived courtesy of the chef.  It was sweet plum ice cream with raspberries.   When we asked the chef about it he told us he had made it to share with his family and had had one portion to spare.  We felt very special and very full.  Oh the desert was given a strange name  Magpie.  See my extra.
