Surprise!

This morning Bugsy went outside and barked - as he does regularly - and we initially ignored him because it was squirrel time and barking at squirrels is not exactly news. But then it seemed to me that his tone was different - he wasn't barking "squirrel!!" - and not hysterical enough for a bear, so something else. I went and looked and sure enough! It was Ronda Raccoon up in the tree eating the peanuts I specifically put out mostly for the squirrels. And/or bluejays. And other birds. Anyway NOT for the raccoon. Morning is not her usual visiting time, but she's welcome anytime as far as I'm concerned.

Later today I took the extras - a mama grackle feeding her begging fledgling. And showing him/her where to find the café!
